He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see–such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. If God gave you a Savior when you were dead in your trespasses, what won’t He give you and what can’t He give you. He is the only way sinners can have a relationship with a Holy God.ĭon’t you see the true significance of Him dying on the cross for you? You were bought by a price. Jesus Christ who was perfect, was crushed to pay your debts because He loves you. Don’t only seek Him in hardships, always seek Him. When you are going through trials you might think I need the Lord, but you must recognize that all you have is the Lord. Because of Him we can enjoy God.īecause of Him we can pray to God.
We were dead in sin when Christ died for us and paid the price for us in full. We couldn’t save ourselves and we never even wanted to. We are nothing without Christ and we can do nothing without Him. Without Him there is no reality and no meaning. “Fear not, for I am with you be not dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.We always hear people say that Jesus is all we need, but the thing is, He’s not just all we need. And He promises us in His Word that we can count on that: No matter what we go through-serious illness, financial difficulties, loneliness, a prodigal child or broken dreams-simply knowing that God is there with us can make all the difference. I’m on a tight deadline to finish a book, I had an article to write, a conference call for which I needed to prepare, and numerous other tasks that all had to be done by the end of the week, so I didn’t really have time to give up half a day. I thought of that this morning as I attended my little granddaughter’s end-of-school award ceremony. But I realized something: He might not ever say so, but it was important to him that we were there. His face lit up when he finally spotted us, and then he never looked our way again throughout the program.
